Endrick returned to Real Madrid this summer after spending the second half of last season on loan at Lyon.
The Brazilian enjoyed a productive spell in France, scoring five goals and providing seven assists across 16 appearances.
That run helped him regain confidence before joining Brazil for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
However, Endrick found opportunities harder to earn internationally and played only 114 minutes across four matches.
Brazil eventually exited in the round of 16 after suffering a 2-1 defeat against Norway.
Back at club level, Endrick has again attracted significant transfer interest during the current summer window.
Liverpool have explored his availability as Andoni Iraola looks to add more quality to his attacking options.
Manchester United and Aston Villa have also shown interest, while Roma and Marseille have monitored his situation.
Several La Liga clubs, including Real Sociedad, Villarreal and Real Betis, have also been linked with moves.
However, Jose Mourinho has been shaping his squad after returning to Real Madrid ahead of the new campaign.
The Portuguese manager has worked closely with Endrick and plans to use him across centre-forward and right-sided attacking roles.
According to Football Insider, Real Madrid have decided they do not want to sell Endrick permanently despite Liverpool’s recent enquiry.
The Spanish giants still believe strongly in the 20-year-old’s long-term future and expect him to remain part of Mourinho’s squad.
Liverpool therefore face major difficulties if they continue pursuing a permanent transfer before the September 1 deadline.
Endrick himself is also preparing to fight for opportunities at Real Madrid after returning from his Lyon loan spell.
Competition remains intense, with Kylian Mbappe expected to lead the attack and Carlos Espi adding another option.
However, Mourinho still sees Endrick as useful depth during a long campaign with multiple attacking positions to cover.
That stance leaves Liverpool needing to consider alternatives as their hopes of signing the Brazilian continue to fade.
For now, Real Madrid’s position is clear, with Endrick expected to stay and compete for minutes this season.
