Breaking News - Real Madrid.

Real Madrid have officially announced their first signing for the 2026/27 season. Under Jose Mourinho, this will be an important season for the Los Blancos. They haven’t won a trophy in the last two seasons.

The Portuguese manager recently returned to the Santiago Bernabeu after the club endured another disappointing campaign.

Despite boasting one of the most talented squads in Europe, Los Blancos finished another season without a major trophy.

As a result, club president Florentino Perez promised significant changes this summer after securing re-election.

That is why Mourinho has come in as the manager, and the Portuguese is preparing for a massive squad overhaul. The club have now moved swiftly to begin that rebuild.

Real Madrid have officially completed a deal for Marc Cucurella, who arrives on a six-year contract running until June 2032.

The agreement is worth €60M, consisting of €55M guaranteed plus a further €5M in add-ons. ucurella becomes the first major addition of Mourinho’s second spell in charge.

The Spain international attracted interest from several clubs across Europe. However, Real Madrid moved quickly to secure the transfer.

Reports suggest Mourinho played a key role in convincing the defender to make the switch back to Spain. The 27-year-old arrives with significant experience.

During his time at Chelsea, he helped the club win the UEFA Conference League and the FIFA Club World Cup. He also played a key role in Spain’s success at Euro 2024.

However, Cucurella is only the beginning of Real Madrid’s summer plans. The club are working on several other defensive additions as Mourinho looks to reshape the squad.
