The 2025 summer transfer window is still wide open, and Real Madrid have already started planning for the 2026 window.

The Los Blancos are always ahead of others when it comes to signing superstars. And next year, Madrid are looking to land one of the biggest names in English football for a few seasons.

Even in the first game of the 2025/26 LaLiga season, Real Madrid struggled to convert chances.

Kylian Mbappe plays better when he drifts in from wide areas, much like what Cristiano Ronaldo used to do at Real Madrid.

After Karim Benzema left Real Madrid, they struggled to find a suitable replacement for the Frenchman.

Yes, Vinicius scored many goals as a striker, and so did Kylian Mbappe in his first season. But Real Madrid are still looking for a striker.

The Los Blancos experimented with Gonzalo Garcia in the Club World Cup. But the young Spaniard is far from being a finished product.

That is why Florentino Perez wants to reignite his interest in a player he has always admired. And, in 2026, he is looking to propose a mega swap deal that the striker’s club will find hard to decline.

According to Fichajes, Real Madrid will be proposing a swap deal in 2026 that will see Vinicius Junior donning a Manchester City shirt.

And, from Manchester City, Florentino Perez will demand Erling Haaland. If this swap deal becomes a reality, then it will be one of the biggest swap deals ever in the history of European football.

Vinicius Junior is yet to renew his Real Madrid contract, which is set to expire in 2027. The Brazilian is exploring his options before deciding on his future.

This will not be an easy deal for Real Madrid as Manchester City will not look to part ways with one of their best players.

However, with the Real Madrid pull, Erling Haaland could change his mind as well. As they say, anything can happen in the transfer market.
