Tottenham Hotspur have made major changes to their squad this summer following a disappointing 17th-place finish last season.
Roberto De Zerbi is now tasked with improving their fortunes after taking charge of the North London club.
Spurs strengthened significantly during the summer transfer window, with Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes among their major additions.
However, their Premier League campaign started badly as Brentford secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against them on the opening matchday.
Tottenham Hotspur have continued strengthening their squad despite that disappointing result, with another major attacking addition arriving from Manchester City.
The Brazilian winger completed his move on August 25 after spending the previous two seasons with Pep Guardiola’s side.
Savinho has officially changed his name to Savio following his move from Manchester City.
The 22-year-old will also have Savio written on the back of his number 17 shirt for his new club.
Tottenham paid an initial £75 million to complete the transfer, while add-ons could increase the overall package to £85 million.
Savio made 84 appearances during his two seasons at Manchester City, scoring seven goals across all competitions.
Before joining City, he enjoyed a breakthrough loan spell with Girona and helped them finish third in La Liga.
The Brazilian completed 104 dribbles during that campaign, 18 more than any other player in the Spanish top flight.
He finished his Girona spell with 11 goals from 41 appearances before completing his move to Manchester City in July 2024.
Now, Savio has started another chapter at Tottenham, with his official name change accompanying his latest Premier League move.
