Manchester United had their eyes firmly set on Viktor Gyokeres.

The Sporting CP striker had impressed everyone at Old Trafford.

His mix of strength, speed, and finishing made him the ideal fit.

Ruben Amorim, United’s manager, had even hoped to bring the Swede with him to Manchester.

The pair worked together in Lisbon, and there was hope they could reunite.

But that door seems to be closing fast. Gyokeres has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal.

Unless the Gunners back out, it is hard to see a different outcome.

So now, United are exploring other options.

And one man has caught the eyes of Ruben Amorim who can be the perfect Viktor Gyokeres alternative.

He is 25, sharp in the box, and just finished an excellent season in Serie A.

He scored 19 league goals last term, second only to Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui.

This player has been one of the most dangerous penalty-area forwards in Italy.

Since leaving the Premier League for good in 2023, this player has found his rhythm.

His loan spells helped, but his real breakout came last season in Serie A.

Now, according to The Athletic, Manchester United are watching Moise Kean closely.

The interest is real. His contract has a €52 million release clause, valid until July 15. United know they must move fast.

The Italian international has grown since his early Premier League days with Everton.

He has 21 caps for his country, 7 goals, and even a couple of assists to his name.

United may not have landed Gyokeres, but they could still find their new No. 9 in Florence. Time, however, is not on their side.

That is why the Red Devils have to act fast if they want to get this Moise Kean to Manchester United deal over the line.
