Real Madrid are once again preparing for a stormy summer. Across Europe, the Los Blancos have built their success on stability and smart planning.

The football paradigm is shifting, and the next few months could bring a challenge from a direction that money alone may not solve.

Saudi Arabia has already changed the game in recent windows. Their clubs have shown they can tempt even the biggest names with riches unmatched anywhere else.

Reports from DefensaCentral claim that the Saudi clubs are preparing a staggering €130 million proposal for Vinicius Junior.

The number alone is enough to make most executives pause. Yet Madrid’s strategy is clear. They want to extend this Brazilian’s contract until 2030 or even 2031.

But they want to do that without breaking their strict salary structure. Vinicius is asking for similar wages to what Madrid pay to Kylian Mbappe.

There is fear inside the boardroom that if he receives astronomical wages similar to Mbappe, others like Jude Bellingham may demand the same.

Vinicius is in no hurry to renew his contract with Madrid. At 25, he wants to have an important contract. The Brazilian is ready to wait as his contract will expire in 2027.

For Saudi Arabia, signing him would be a statement to the entire world. For Real Madrid, losing him would be a massive setback as Xabi Alonso wants to create a squad capable of dominating Europe.

Florentino Perez and his board trust that the history and privilege of playing for the biggest club in the world will outweigh the temptation of money from Saudi clubs.

In the summer of 2026, Real Madrid are certainly bracing for a huge offer for Vinicius. They will be compelled to give the offer a thought.
