It has already been a fairly turbulent season at Wolves.
Fer Lopez, David Mooller Wolfe, and Jhon Arias have been added to the squad.
Meanwhile, Jorgen Strand Larsen’s loan move became permanent.
In the other direction, Matheus Cunha, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Nelson Semedo, Pablo Sarabia and Goncalo Guedes have all departed.
There could be another player set to leave Molineux too.
According to Italian journalist Orazio Accomando (via Talking Wolves) Serie A side Cremonense are considering a loan move for Sasa Kalajdzic.
He also reports that an option to buy of around four million Euros is being discussed.
The Austrian striker joined Wolves in 2022, but has had absolutely horrific luck with injuries.
Owing to these setbacks, he has only started two Premier League games for the club.
His last competitive appearance came on loan at Frankfurt in February of 2024.
Across three games, he has played 45 minutes during pre-season for Wolves this summer.
These are his only appearances of any note in the last 18 months.
In terms of productivity, Kalajdzic scored two goals and created two big chances in just 176 league minutes in 23/24.
Albeit a very small sample size, that is fairly good output.
At 6/7, he would be a useful option off the bench if Wolves are chasing a game.
Imagine having to defend crosses into both him and Strand Larsen.
Still, for the sake of his own career – he will want to go somewhere and play regularly.
That feels unlikely at Wolves, even if he does stay fit.
As for Cremonese, they have just been promoted back to Serie A after a two year absence.
They were relegated with 27 points and just five wins during their last top flight campaign.
Davide Nicola’s signings have already made a number of signings.
They will be hoping potential additions such as Kalajdzic can help them avoid the same fate.
Italian club US Cremonese are reportedly considering a loan move for #Wolves forward Sasa Kalajdzic.
An option to buy of around €4M is also being discussed.
