Last week, fixtures for this season’s league phase of the UEFA Champions League were drawn.
There are exciting ties across the board, in what promises to be another enjoyable campaign.
One club that were involved were Spurs, after their Europa League triumph last season.
Many have said that they have been dealt a kind hand, with PSG the only powerhouse they are up against.
For the games ahead, Thomas Frank has selected his squad to try and reach the knockout stages.
As expected, the injured James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Radu Dragusin have not been picked.
Whilst new signing from Japan Kota Takai has not been chosen, as well as out of favour Yves Bissouma.
All pretty normal. However, there is one snub that has raised the eyebrows of many.
Indeed, Mathys Tel has not been selected by Frank for the league phase.
This comes despite Spurs investing £30m+ to sign the player from Bayern Munich during the summer.
No doubt this will come as a huge blow for the Frenchman, who has had a tough time of it lately.
He has played just 23 minutes in the Premier League so far this season, and missed his penalty in the Super Cup against PSG.
For a player that initially showed so much promise at Bayern, his development over the last year has been far from ideal.
You hope he will be able to bounce back from this and use it as motivation to perform domestically.
