Tottenham Hotspur have had a busy summer transfer window so far, with them looking to push up the table in the upcoming season after finishing 17th in the Premier League last season.

They have signed a number of players, which consist of Mohammed Kudus from West Ham, Kevin Danso from Lens, and Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich.

But they have also had a number of outgoings, with the latest outgoing being a long-serving Spurs player, Heung-Min Son.

However, the London-based side has officially announced their new midfielder.

After their interest in Morgan Gibbs-White being blocked.

The player struggled for game time at their club last season but has proven before that he can be creative in the middle of the park.

So this shows the player can add a Creative spark to the heart of Spurs’ midfield as well as experience.

According to the Tottenham Hotspur official, they have signed current Bayern Munich player and former Fulham player João Palhinha on loan for the season.

Having announced the midfielder just after 20:00 tonight.

The former Fulham player holds a high level of experience and creativity, which Spurs need this season.

This is why he had lots of interest from clubs which consist including Benfica on loan, as Bayern Munich no longer want the Portuguese midfielder.

João Palhinha adds another dimension and a different style of play to the Spurs midfield, as well as competition and experience.

With Tottenham Hotspur already holding Rodrigo Bentancur and 19-year-old Archie Gray, who we have seen play in midfield throughout pre-season.

Overall, this move suits both parties as Palhinha adds competition and experience to Tottenham Hotspur’s midfield, which could be especially useful if Spurs are looking to improve on their 17th-place finish last season. But it also benefits the midfielder as he is no longer wanted by Bayern, and he needs increased game time.
