Under their new manager, Thomas Frank, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to have a much better season than the last one.
The Spurs finished 17th in the Premier League table, even though they did win the Europa League by beating Manchester United.
However, Daniel Levi was strict as he couldn’t tolerate the Premier League position. That is why he decided to sack Ange Postecoglou.
After hiring Thomas Frank from Brentford to replace the Australian manager, Levi decided to back him by signing the players he wants.
So, he signed Mathys Tel and Mohamed Kudus for the forward line of the Spurs. Also, Levi signed Kevin Danso, Kota Takai, and Luka Vuskovic for the centre-back role.
Now, Thomas Frank wants a signing that will make everyone take notice of the Spurs. That is why they are looking at a statement signing.
Also, Christian Romero is linked with a move away from Tottenham. Atletico Madrid are seriously considering a move for the Argentine world-cup winner.
In case he decides to leave the club, they need to have someone who can easily replace such an experience defender.
That is why Tottenham are eyeing a player who can be the ideal replacement for the Argentine.
According to Fichajes, Tottenham Hotspurs are linked with a move for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.
The 26-year-old has been a key performer for the Blaugrana. His contract runs until 2031.
Barcelona would be looking to get a fee of around €70-80 million for the Uruguayan defender. However, it would be interesting to see whether the Spurs can match that demand.
Signing Ronald Araujo would be a statement signing for Tottenham Hotspur. The North London club want to have a better season.
With Thomas Frank and the signings they are making, the Spurs will be more competitive this season for sure.
