Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a crucial summer as Roberto De Zerbi continues rebuilding his squad. The North London club finished 17th for a second straight season and now want major improvements.
Club officials have already backed De Zerbi in the transfer market after completing deals for Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi.
However, Tottenham still have several areas they want to strengthen before the new campaign begins. The striker position remains one of the biggest priorities.
Randal Kolo Muani will return to Paris Saint-Germain after his loan spell ends. Meanwhile, uncertainty continues to surround Richarlison, who could also leave this summer.
As a result, Spurs need another reliable option capable of leading the attack next season. Finding that profile is not easy in the current market.
Many of Europe’s top forwards are either unavailable or carrying huge transfer fees. However, Tottenham have identified an opportunity involving one of the most recognisable strikers available.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham Hotspur remain interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic in a free transfer after his Juventus contract expired.
The Serbian international became a free agent this summer and immediately attracted attention across Europe. At 26 years old, Vlahovic still has plenty of years ahead of him at the highest level.
His record in Italy also explains why so many clubs continue to monitor his situation. The striker scored 44 goals in 98 appearances for Fiorentina before earning a move to Juventus.
He then added 50 league goals during his time in Turin and established himself as one of Serie A’s leading forwards.
Reports claim the Serbian wants wages worth around £150,000 per week. That figure equals roughly £8 million per year and represents a significant commitment.
Even so, Tottenham have not backed away from the opportunity. Chelsea and Newcastle United also remain interested, but Spurs continue to hold discussions over a possible deal.
