Tottenham Hotspur are looking to build a strong squad.
After securing the Champions League football by winning the Europa League, the Spurs are looking to bounce back in the Premier League this season.
The last thing they would want is to finish the Premier League season the way they finished last season.
Last season, Tottenham finished 17th in the Premier League, something that was unacceptable for Daniel Levi.
That is why he decided to sack Ange Postecoglou even after winning the Europa League, the fourth European trophy in the history of the Spurs.
Levi signed Thomas Frank from Brentford as the new manager for the Spurs. After signing the new manager, Levi is doing everything to back the Danish boss.
The Spurs are even linked with Real Madrid’s Rodrygo as a possible replacement for Son Heung-min.
However, Thomas Frank wants to strengthen his midfield. He has already signed Joao Palhinha from Bayern Munich on loan.
But, the former Brentford boss wants to find an attacking midfielder ideal for his system. He wanted to sign Morgan Gibbs-White and the Spurs also triggered his release clause.
However, Nottingham Forest threatened to take legal actions against the Spurs and now, the deal is off because Gibbs-White has signed a new contract with the Forest.
Now, Tottenham are looking at other options for the same position. And, according to Football Insider, the Spurs are now looking at Conor Gallagher from Atletico Madrid.
The former Chelsea man was a target for the Spurs when he moved to Madrid. They even tried to hijack that deal but failed.
The 25-year-old is reportedly willing to leave Spain and comeback to the Premier League. The Spurs could give him the perfect platform to restart his Premier League career.
So, this Conor Gallagher to Tottenham Hotspur transfer saga will be exciting to follow.
