According to L’Equipe, Arsenal have begun working on a deal to sign Castello Lukeba from RB Leipzig.
The report claims the Gunners have already initiated preliminary discussions regarding a potential summer transfer.
The 23-year-old joined Leipzig from Lyon in 2023, and has since developed into a key figure for the German club.
Arsenal are believed to have monitored the defender closely in recent weeks.
Scouts were reportedly present during Leipzig’s Bundesliga clash with Borussia Dortmund.
At this stage, no formal bid has been submitted.
However, discussions between the player’s representatives and Arsenal are believed to have already taken place.
Leipzig are unlikely to make negotiations easy, suggesting the defender could command a fee in the region of €60 million.
Lukeba remains under contract with the German side until 2029.
