11 Arsenal players up for sale as Andrea Berta plans summer clear-out

Mikel Arteta will want to maintain stability within the squad after what could become one of the club’s most successful seasons in years.

Arsenal transfer update

A major shake-up could be on the cards at Arsenal this summer, as sporting director Andrea Berta prepares for a squad overhaul.

After heavy investment in the last summer transfer windows, the focus has now shifted toward outgoings this summer.

Now, Arsenal want to balance the books while keeping the squad competitive under Mikel Arteta.

The club spent heavily last summer, committing around £250 million on seven signings, with another deal for Piero Hincapie set to become permanent.

Now, the attention has turned to players who are surplus to requirements in the squad. According to The Times, Arsenal are considering up to 11 potential departures as part of this summer reset.

Defenders like Jakub Kiwior, currently on loan, could leave permanently, with Porto reportedly ready to pay around £17 million.

Others, such as Reiss Nelson, Fabio Vieira and Karl Hein, could also be moved on as they approach the final year of their deals. There are also bigger decisions to make.

Players who have featured this season, including Ben White and Christian Norgaard, could face uncertain futures after limited game time.

Meanwhile, experienced attackers like Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus are also on the list of departures despite having contracts running until 2027.

Now, Gabriel Martinelli could become one of the most high-profile players to leave.

Apart from the Brazilian, academy prospects Myles Lewis-Skelly and Ethan Nwaneri may consider moves in search of regular first-team football.

Nwaneri is already spending time on loan at Marseille, where he is gaining valuable experience. All of these point to a significant squad overhaul next summer.

At the same time, Arsenal continue to monitor new targets, including Castello Lukeba and Tino Livramento.

Andrea Berta is also planning contract talks with key players such as Kai Havertz and Martin Odegaard.

Now, Mikel Arteta will want to maintain stability within the squad after what could become one of the club’s most successful seasons in years. So, a full clear-out remains unlikely at the Emirates.
