The Red Devils have already begun their summer transfer plans, and they are looking to sign midfielders next summer.

Transfer Update - Manchester United

Manchester United came back to winning ways against Aston Villa at Old Trafford after a minor blip against Newcastle United at St. James’ Park.

The Red Devils are currently occupying third spot in the Premier League table, and they are five points clear of the fifth-placed Liverpool.

So, Manchester United under Michael Carrick are well on their way to securing Champions League football next season.

If they can secure a top-4 finish, then it will be a massive boost for their summer transfer window budget.

Now, the Red Devils have already begun their summer transfer plans, and they are looking to sign midfielders next summer.

However, there is another position they want to strengthen, and that is the wide areas of the pitch. They don’t have wingers except Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Adam Diallo.

That is why they are looking to sign at least a winger next summer. And they have already started making progress in securing a Belgian winger, playing in the Eredivisie.

According to Sky Sports reporter Sacha Tavolieri, Manchester United have ‘officially’ made contact with Ajax winger Mika Godts.

The 20-year-old Belgian winger is expected to leave the Dutch side next summer. Godts’ contract with Ajax is valid till 2029 after he extended his contract in 2024.

This season, he has played 25 games in the Eredivisie, scoring 14 goals and providing 9 assists for Ajax.
