Manchester United are in the hunt to sign a top midfielder from the Premier League next season. They have already opened talks with Carlos Baleba, as Transfer News Live reported.
However, they have many other names on their list of targets. So, they have now opened talks with another top Premier League midfielder.
The Red Devils want to find a midfielder with Premier League experience next summer. It is one of their main criteria while picking their targets.
Now, with Casemiro leaving and Manuel Ugarte also following his path, it is important for United to make a move early, as they cannot afford to fail in signing a midfielder this summer.
That is why they are already holding talks with some of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
Their list of targets already includes Elliot Anderson, Adam Wharton, Joao Gomes, Carlos Baleba, and Amadou Onana. Apart from these, they are also looking at Sandro Tonali from Newcastle United.
But according to Reuters, Manchester United have held advanced talks with Newcastle captain Bruno Guimaraes.
The Red Devils are negotiating with Newcastle, and the deal is in progress as the Magpies are demanding at least €80 million for the Brazilian.
Previously, a Newcastle player revealed the true feelings of Guimaraes for his current club. So, it will be interesting to see if the Brazilian will leave the club next summer.
