Manchester United will have a busy summer transfer window. They will be looking to add at least two midfielders.
And one name keeps popping up as the potential target for next summer is Bruno Guimaraes. The Newcastle United captain has been one of the best midfielders in the Premier League.
As a result, many clubs are eyeing a move for him. Now, his contract with the Magpies is valid till 2028. So, Newcastle are under no pressure to sell him.
Also, they will be asking for a hefty transfer fee for the midfielder.
But United may not have a problem in paying such a transfer fee because they are on the verge of returning to the Champions League.
Recently, Eddie Howe spoke about the Bruno Guimaraes to Manchester United transfer rumour. Now, transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano has dropped a bombshell on this move.
According to the Italian journalist on his YouTube channel, a meeting did take place between Manchester United and the agent of Bruno Guimaraes.
However, Romano clarified that Guimaraes’ agent is one of the best in the business. And so, it is normal for United to have a meeting with the agency before the market opens.
Furthermore, the journalist confirmed that Manchester United admire Bruno Guimaraes a lot and if they get an opportunity, they will look to sign him.
Now, the Red Devils will be looking at a player like Bruno Guimaraes because his compatriot Casemiro has already announced that he will leave at the end of this season.
Manchester United believe the Newcastle United captain could be the perfect replacement for the former Real Madrid midfielder.
That is why this update from Romano is so significant, because it established a concrete interest in Bruno Guimaraes from Manchester United.
