Manchester United are preparing for a busy summer. They will have to make several key decisions, and the focus could be on the future of Bruno Fernandes.
Now, the Red Devils will have to make key signings in the summer because Casemiro will leave, and there is also a possibility of Manuel Ugarte leaving.
Internally, there is no clear agreement on Bruno Fernandes. Different voices within the club hold different views.
Some believe Fernandes is untouchable. They see him as too important to lose. But others see an opportunity, with a big sale, that could help refresh the squad.
According to CaughtOffside, this debate has been ongoing for months. Fernandes has continued to attract strong interest because of his amazing output on the field.
The Manchester United captain also won the Premier League Player of the Month award for March. So, the top European clubs are monitoring the situation.
Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are both keen on signing Fernandes next summer. Also, interest from the Saudi Pro League is still there for the Portuguese.
Publicly, Manchester United continue to maintain their stance that Bruno Fernandes is not for sale.. But privately, there are concerns.
Fernandes will be 32 by September. And the Red Devils have seen the decline of Mohamed Salah this season. So, they are concerned about taking a risk with their captain.
But the 31-year-old has been outstanding again this season. He has scored eight goals and provided 16 assists in the league.
So, replacing him would not be easy, and that is another major concern for United. Also, there are doubts over players like Harry Maguire and Mason Mount.
Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford and Andre Onana are currently out on loan. They will return next summer, and United will look to offload them.
So, Manchester United will have to make difficult decisions regarding several players, and Bruno Fernandes will surely be one of them.
