Manchester United are currently training in Dublin. The club are preparing for their clash against Leeds United.
The Red Devils are fighting for a place in the Champions League. Currently, they are in the third position in the Premier League table. But they are looking for their next permanent manager.
After sacking Ruben Amorim following an outburst after the game against Leeds at Elland Road, United appointed Michael Carrick as the interim manager.
Since then, the Red Devils have turned their season around and are now favourites to qualify for the Champions League.
Now, Manchester United players have made their voices heard regarding the appointment of the next permanent boss.
During a press conference in Dublin, Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo at down to speak to the press. Amad said (about the next permanent manager):
“Obviously it’s not for us as a player to decide his future, but he’s been very great, he’s been doing so much for the team.
“He has a lot of experience, he knows the club and has the DNA. We think he’s the right man, but we are really happy for what he’s doing right now.
“Since he’s arrived he’s been clear to everyone that he wants to win, he wants to reach the Champions League next season, working with each player.
“He’s been doing really well and we’re really happy to have him as the manager. Sometimes this kind of manager can bring a club where they belong.
“From my personal side he’s the right man but it’s not the players who decide, but we are really happy to have him as a manager.”
Also, Bryan Mbeumo spoke on the same line as Amad, showing support for Carrick. The Cameroonian said:
“We’ve got good experience with him, playing under him as well. As (Amad) said, it’s not for us to decide, but we’re going to try to take as much as we can from him.
“He knows the DNA of the club, he knows how to talk to us as well, I think it’s been easier because he knows the place. It’s been great to work under him.”
Manchester United have not made up their mind about appointing Carrick as their permanent manager.
However, the Reds Devils have not made contact with any other manager. So, it is fair to say that Carrick is leading the race to the throne at Old Trafford, at the moment.
