Manchester United stars troll Alejandro Garnacho after Luke Shaw’s social media post

Moments like this suggest the relationship has not completely healed.

Manchester United players appear to have taken a swipe at Alejandro Garnacho following their win over Chelsea. The moment came shortly after the final whistle at Stamford Bridge.

United secured a narrow 1-0 victory, but the story did not end there. Luke Shaw added fuel to the fire with a social media post that quickly caught attention.

The left-back shared an image of himself pushing Garnacho to the ground during the match. He paired it with a simple caption: “important win.”

That image did not go unnoticed. Several teammates reacted almost instantly. Matheus Cunha commented: “My duo.”

Meanwhile, Alex Telles responded with fire and heart emojis, adding to the reaction. Fans also picked up on the message, with one writing: “Good choice of 1st image.”

The post appeared to reference Garnacho’s exit from Old Trafford last summer. The winger left the club in a £40 million move to Chelsea after falling out of favour.

His return to face United did not go smoothly. Garnacho came on as a first-half substitute after an injury to Estevao but struggled to make an impact.

After the game, no United player approached him, which only added to the tension. His form since the move has also raised concerns.

The 21-year-old has scored just once in 22 league appearances, and some Chelsea supporters have already suggested a loan move to help him rediscover his level.

Despite everything, Garnacho has spoken positively about his former club. The Argentine said in a previous interview

“Maybe yes, because I loved that club. They gave me the confidence from the start… I only have good memories of Man United.”

Even so, moments like this suggest the relationship has not completely healed.
