Premier League star under investigation for allegedly messaging a 15-year old girl

A Premier League club have been forced into taking immediate action after allegations involving one of their players surfaced on social media this week.

The club is currently pushing for European qualification after an impressive campaign. However, attention has now shifted away from football following claims that emerged online late last night.

Screenshots allegedly showing private conversations began circulating across social media platforms, quickly attracting widespread attention.

The club responded publicly soon afterwards and confirmed they are treating the matter seriously.

In an official statement, AFC Bournemouth confirmed that Alex Jimenez will not be included in the squad for the club’s Premier League match against Fulham. The club said:

“AFC Bournemouth are aware of posts circulating on social media involving right-back, Alex Jimenez.

“The club understand the seriousness of the matter and it is currently being investigated.”

The statement also confirmed that Bournemouth would not be making further comments at this stage.

According to The Sun, screenshots shared online allegedly show the Spain Under-21 international communicating with a girl said to be under the age of 18.

Jimenez sent his photo to that girl while adding a suggestive caption. He joined Bournemouth on loan from AC Milan earlier this season,

The deal later becoming permanent after Bournemouth activated the buy clause. The 21-year-old has been one of Bournemouth’s standout young players during the current campaign.

The Spaniard has made 32 appearances across all competitions. He also scored during Bournemouth’s 3-2 victory over Liverpool earlier this season.

Before moving to England, Jimenez spent time in the academies of Real Madrid and AC Milan after starting his youth career in Spain.
