Bournemouth’s remarkable season has not only changed the club’s history but also delivered another financial boost to Porto.
The Cherries officially secured qualification for the Europa League after an impressive Premier League campaign under Andoni Iraola.
They sealed their qualification by stopping Manchester City’s ambition of giving their departing manager, Pep Guardiola, his seventh Premier League title.
It will mark Bournemouth’s first-ever appearance in European competition and represents one of the biggest achievements in the club’s history.

Porto already benefited heavily from Evanilson’s transfer to Bournemouth last summer. They sold the Brazilian striker in one of the biggest deals in the club’s recent history.

Now, Bournemouth’s qualification for the Europa League has activated another major payment.
According to Portuguese outlet A BOLA, Porto will receive an additional €2 million bonus because Bournemouth secured European football for next season.
That payment reportedly increases the total value of Evanilson’s transfer to €44.8 million.
The Brazilian striker played an important role during Bournemouth’s historic campaign. He helped the club achieve its highest-ever finish in English football.
His performances also justified Bournemouth’s decision to invest heavily in the forward last summer.
Bournemouth’s rise under Iraola has also attracted attention across Europe after the club secured continental qualification ahead of several bigger Premier League teams.
Now, while Bournemouth prepare for their first European adventure next season, Porto are also celebrating another unexpected financial reward from Evanilson’s transfer.
