Arsenal star ‘largely agreed’ personal terms with shock club

Arsenal could soon lose one of their most experienced attacking players.

Arsenal are preparing for another busy summer after ending their long wait for a Premier League title.

Mikel Arteta guided the Gunners to domestic glory and also led the club to the Champions League final.

Now attention has turned to strengthening the squad for another title challenge. However, arrivals may not be the only focus at the Emirates Stadium.

Several first-team players face uncertain futures as Arsenal look to balance the squad and create room for new signings. One player attracting growing interest is Leandro Trossard.

The Belgian international remains an important member of Arteta’s squad. Even so, his future has become a major talking point in recent weeks.

According to CaughtOffside, Trossard is now in advanced talks over a move to Besiktas. The Arsenal winger has reportedly largely agreed personal terms with the Turkish club.

Club-to-club discussions are also expected to begin soon. Interest from Besiktas first emerged recently. Since then, the move has gathered momentum.

There have been positive talks between the player’s representatives and the Turkish side have pushed negotiations forward. Trossard now appears to view Besiktas as his preferred destination.

Other clubs have also monitored the situation. However, Atletico Madrid and Juventus have reportedly cooled their interest. That has left Besiktas in a strong position.

Reports have suggested that the Turkish club are preparing a €20M offer. For Arsenal, the proposal may represent a sensible opportunity.

Trossard is now 31 and has entered the final year of his contract. As a result, this summer could represent the club’s last chance to secure a significant transfer fee.

If talks between the two clubs go smoothly, Arsenal could soon lose one of their most experienced attacking players.
