Michael Olise has emerged as one of the stars of the World Cup after an outstanding season with Bayern Munich.
The French winger carried his Bundesliga form into the tournament and quickly became one of Didier Deschamps’ most influential players.
By the quarter-final stage, he had already registered five assists and established himself as France’s main creative outlet.
His performances have inevitably attracted attention from across Europe and intensified speculation surrounding his long-term future.
Real Madrid have regularly been linked with the Bayern star in recent weeks as Florentino Pérez searches for another major addition.
Despite those rumours, Bayern have remained firm over their position and continue to insist that the Frenchman is not for sale.
The Bundesliga champions instead want to reward his progress with improved terms and a longer stay in Munich.
According to El Nacional, Michael Olise plans to hold a decisive meeting with Bayern officials once France complete their World Cup campaign.
The report states that the winger wants to settle his future quickly rather than allow uncertainty to continue throughout the summer.
Bayern are preparing an extension until 2031 alongside a significant salary increase in an effort to remove any doubts.
However, the player wants to consider every option available before making a final commitment.
Real Madrid remain the most attractive alternative should he eventually decide to leave Germany.
His growing understanding with Kylian Mbappe during the World Cup has also attracted attention in Madrid.
However, Bayern have no intention of negotiating and continue to view the 24-year-old as a central figure in their project.
The upcoming meeting could therefore determine whether his future remains in Munich or whether speculation continues into the new season.
