Manchester United have been linked with a long list of forwards this summer.

With the new season inching closer, the hunt for a new striker is one of the club’s top priorities.

There is no shortage of names, some young, some experienced, some already proven in Europe.

Among these targets, one name has come up again and again.

He plays in France, wears the number 9 when given the chance, and knows how to find the net.

But landing him will not be easy. In fact, it might already be off the table.

United’s recruitment team had hoped that a move could be possible this summer.

The striker has been used sporadically in Paris, often playing second fiddle in a team packed with attacking options.

There were whispers that he might be open to a new challenge.

Some even thought the Club World Cup would be his stage to push for a transfer.

But that never happened. Instead of making noise about minutes or transfers, he stayed quiet.

And made sure to show he was happy where he is. Paris Saint Germain, for their part, are just as pleased.

According to Foot Mercato, PSG has no intention of letting him go. They see his role as valuable.

He offers something different from the more mobile attackers in the squad.

Even if he is not always in the starting eleven, his profile remains important for the team’s tactical options.

And that is why Goncalo Ramos, one of the names on Manchester United’s striker shortlist, is staying put.

PSG paid €80 million for him, and they are not ready to listen to offers. Goncalo Ramos is not pushing to leave either.

So, for now, United will have to keep looking. Their number 9 search continues.
