Manchester United star set for Bundesliga move

Manchester United could sanction another departure.

Manchester United could sanction another departure as Michael Carrick continues reshaping his squad ahead of the new campaign.

The Red Devils enter the season after an impressive turnaround helped them finish third in the Premier League and secure Champions League qualification.

Carrick transformed United after taking charge midway through last season. Bruno Fernandes played a major role, while Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo also made important contributions.

Meanwhile, United have continued rebuilding their squad during the summer transfer window.

Andrey Santos arrived from Chelsea before United triggered the £35 million release clause for Youri Tielemans.

Furthermore, Karl Darlow joined on a free transfer, while young winger Tynan Thompson arrived from Tottenham Hotspur.

Several departures have also created space within Carrick’s squad. Casemiro left after his contract expired, while Rasmus Hojlund completed a permanent move to Napoli.

Now, another United player could follow them through the exit door after attracting interest from Germany.

According to Bild (via SportWitness), Stuttgart are considering a move for Radek Vitek as they search for an immediate solution to their goalkeeping situation.

The 22-year-old joined United’s academy from Sigma Olomouc in 2020 but has never represented the senior team.

Instead, Vitek gained experience through loan spells with Accrington Stanley, Blau-Weiss Linz and Bristol City.

Recently, the Czech goalkeeper publicly expressed his desire to leave Old Trafford either permanently or on loan because he wants to become a regular starter.

Stuttgart could provide that opportunity after first-choice goalkeeper Dennis Seimen suffered a thigh injury in training.

The setback is expected to keep Seimen sidelined for two months, prompting the Bundesliga club to consider entering the transfer market. Therefore, Vitek has emerged on their shortlist as a possible solution.

A move could hand him an immediate opportunity to become Stuttgart’s first-choice goalkeeper while Seimen recovers. Vitek remains under contract with Manchester United until 2028.
