Arsenal enter the new season as Premier League champions after ending their 22-year wait for the title.
Mikel Arteta’s side also reached the Champions League final, although Paris Saint-Germain eventually won on penalties.
The Gunners have responded with another active summer window. Christos Tzolis arrived from Club Brugge for £34 million, while Illan Meslier joined on a free transfer.
Arsenal also made Piero Hincapie’s move permanent and agreed a £75 million deal for Bruno Guimaraes.
Several players have already departed. Leandro Trossard joined Besiktas, while Jakub Kiwior moved to Porto.
Arsenal also missed out on Vinicius Junior after the Brazilian signed a new contract with Real Madrid.
Their pre-season campaign has produced mixed results. Arsenal beat MK Dons 3-0 and Girona 4-1 before losing 3-1 against Real Betis in Dublin.
Arteta’s squad will next face Borussia Dortmund and Como before meeting Manchester City in the Community Shield.
More changes could now follow in attack as Arsenal continue searching for another high-profile left winger.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Gabriel Martinelli has emerged as a transfer target for Galatasaray.
The Turkish champions have placed the Brazilian on their shortlist as they assess options for the left side.
Arsenal are open to selling Martinelli after he lost his regular starting position last season. The 25-year-old has made 278 appearances for the club since arriving in 2019, scoring 62 goals.
The arrival of Tzolis has increased competition further. Arsenal’s continued search for another elite winger could also reduce Martinelli’s role under Arteta.
Galatasaray are currently working on a move for Rafael Leao. However, their latest offer for the AC Milan winger has not been accepted. Martinelli has therefore emerged as a serious alternative.
Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich and Saudi Arabian clubs have also shown interest in the Arsenal forward.
