Manchester United defender attracts interest from AC Milan

Milan’s interest could now become one of the late stories to follow as both clubs finalise their squads.

Manchester United could face another late transfer decision as Michael Carrick continues reshaping his squad before the deadline.

The Red Devils have concentrated much of their summer spending on midfield after investing heavily in several new arrivals.

Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba joined as United rebuilt the centre of Carrick’s team.

Karl Darlow also arrived to strengthen the goalkeeping department after becoming available on a free transfer.

United have simultaneously trimmed their squad, with Casemiro and Rasmus Hojlund among the senior players to leave Old Trafford.

Joshua Zirkzee has also attracted late interest from Italy as Fiorentina and Juventus explore a possible move.

Carrick’s side recovered from an opening Premier League defeat against Hull City by beating Ipswich Town 5-2.

Attention has now returned to the market, with another United player attracting interest from Serie A.

According to Tuttosport, AC Milan are considering a late move for Manchester United defender Leny Yoro.

The French centre-back has emerged among several defensive options being assessed by Milan before the window closes.

Ruben Amorim’s side still want another defender despite already spending heavily during a significant summer rebuild.

Milan have added Goncalo Ramos, Diego Moreira, Mario Gila and other reinforcements across several areas of the squad.

They have also agreed a move for Omari Hutchinson as Amorim continues strengthening his attacking options.

However, Tuttosport reports that defensive additions remain a priority, with Yoro now firmly among the names under consideration.

Milan are also looking at Sporting defender Goncalo Inacio, although that potential deal appears particularly difficult.

Manchester City’s Rayan Ait-Nouri has additionally become a target as Milan assess alternatives on the left side.

United have their own defensive concerns and have been linked with adding another centre-back before the deadline.
