AS Roma are considering another attacking addition after an ambitious summer of recruitment under Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Italian side strengthened several areas, with Santiago Castro and Rodrigo Mora among their notable attacking arrivals.
Roma also retained Donyell Malen following his successful loan spell and kept Manu Kone despite interest from Chelsea.
However, Stephan El Shaarawy departed after his contract expired, leaving Roma assessing further options for their left flank.
The club previously pursued Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling, but that proposed move eventually failed to materialise.
AS Roma can still recruit free agents despite the summer transfer window closing, giving sporting director Tony D’Amico another opportunity.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha is now under consideration.
The 33-year-old is available on a free transfer and features on Roma’s shortlist of possible attacking reinforcements.
Zaha previously came close to joining the Giallorossi in 2023 and has now emerged as an option again.
The winger spent part of his career with Manchester United after becoming Sir Alex Ferguson’s final signing in 2013.
However, Zaha made only four appearances for United before permanently returning to Crystal Palace in 2015.
He later became a major figure at Palace, finishing his time there with 90 goals from 458 senior appearances.
Zaha subsequently joined Galatasaray before moving to Charlotte FC on loan for his latest spell in Major League Soccer.
His agreement with Charlotte ended in June, while his Galatasaray contract also expired, making him a free agent.
Roma are also considering Krepin Diatta, who became available after spending last season with Monaco.
I Giallorossi have started their Serie A campaign strongly, recording consecutive 4-0 victories against Fiorentina and Lecce.
Gasperini’s side have therefore collected six points without conceding before their upcoming league fixture against Atalanta.
