After months of speculation, the wait might finally be over. One of Europe’s most-wanted strikers has made his choice.
Victor Osimhen is ready for a new adventure, far from the place that once cheered him.
The Nigerian, known for his speed and sharp finishing, had fallen out of favour at his current club, Napoli.
Things had turned sour. The relationship broke down with the current manager Antonio Conte.
The Italian signed Romelu Lukaku in Osimhen’s place and won the Scudetto.
But, Victor Osimhen left on loan to Galatasaray and he was back to his lethal best.
That loan was supposed to be a short break. It turned into a turning point.
He found form again. He scored goals and lots of them to be honest.
More than 40 goal contributions reminded Europe why Victor Osimhen is one of the best strikers in the continent.
European giants began circling the striker and they were ready to offer Champions League football.
However, he ignored them. He looked elsewhere. He saw a project, a rebuild, a team in need of a leader, and a coach who believed in energy and pressing.
He wanted to go to a club where he could be the main man again. The draw of walking up a sleeping giant was too tempting for Osimhen to reject.
That is why according to Fichajes, Victor Osimhen has now chosen Manchester United as his next destination.
The Red Devils may not be in the Champions League, but that has not stopped the Nigerian forward.
He wants to be part of the new era under Ruben Amorim. He sees the bigger picture.
The deal is not complete yet. Salary and transfer fee are both high. But the player has made up his mind. And that makes a big difference.
Now, the focus shifts to the club. Will they move fast enough to close the deal? Osimhen is ready for the challenge. He has picked his future.
Manchester United must act before someone else does.
