Luis Díaz may be getting ready for a new chapter. The Colombian winger has become a key figure at Liverpool in recent seasons.
Liverpool won the 2024/25 Premier League title, and the 28-year-old played a key role in their triumph.
But now, it looks like he could be on his way out. Bayern Munich are leading the race to sign him. And they have already made some serious progress.
As Transfer News Live revealed earlier, Luis Diaz has agreed on personal terms with Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga giants are keen to add new attacking players to their squad. Leroy Sane has already left the club.
There are talks that many other players might leave, and so, the German giants will be looking for their replacements. And, Luis Diaz is one of those players they are desperate to sign.
So far, the talks between Liverpool and Bayern have been ongoing. The English champions have reportedly rejected two bids for the Colombian from the German champions.
The Reds value the winger highly. He is still seen as one of their most dangerous players in big games.
That is why they are not ready to sell without getting the price they have set, which is around €80 million.
Also, Liverpool are trying to extend his contract, which ends in 2027. But the Colombian hasn’t agreed to sign the deal.
Meanwhile, as mentioned earlier, he has already agreed on personal terms with German champions.
According to BILD, Luis Diaz will be signing a massive contract with Bayern if the German giants agree on a fee with Liverpool.
The deal includes a five-year contract until 2029, with the Colombian set to earn €14 million per year.
However, the final hurdle remains the fee. Liverpool are not budging from their €80 million, but Bayern hope to find a middle ground soon.
With Barcelona lurking, Bayern are working fast to bring Luis Diaz to the Allianz Arena before the window heats up even more.
