After winning the FA Cup last year and the Carabao Cup the year before, Manchester United had high hopes this year.
Many thought that this could be the year when they would reclaim their lost crown as the best team in England.
However, from the very beginning of the season, things started going south for the Red Devils.
After sacking Erik Ten Hag, they brought in Ruben Amorim with the hopes of salvaging the season.
But, under Amorim, things became worse. That is why after losing the Europa League final, fans are demanding a mass exodus at Old Trafford.
Also, their goalscoring record has been pathetic this season. Players upfront lacked that cutting-edge throughout the season.
The lack of goals from the strikers contributed to the downfall of the Red Devils.
However, according to Fabrizio Romano, several Italian clubs are showing interest in signing a Manchester United striker.
The striker in the spotlight here is Rasmus Hojlund who is getting attention from clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus, and Napoli.
Rasmus Hojlund has had a forgettable season. He made 51 appearances scoring only 10 goals.
The Danish international scored only 4 goals in 31 Premier League appearances,
Now, Manchester United need to make a decision on the player quickly because the transfer market is opening within a short time.
So, if they do end up selling Rasmus Hojlund, they have to find a replacement in the market.
The Red Devils are already in the market looking at several striker options in the market.
Sporting striker Victor Gyokores and Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap are already linked to Manchester United.
🚨🇩🇰 Rasmus Højlund keeps attracting interest from Italy — understand Inter are also considering him as option for this summer.
After Juventus and Napoli calls in March, Inter also explored Højlund situation. It’s up to Man United.
