One of the most talked about players this summer has been RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko.

At 22-years old, the Slovenian forward is seen as one of the best young forwards in Europe.

With many clubs needing a striker, his physicality and ball striking is seen as someone who would improve many teams.

Several sides have been linked with a move to the striker, including Manchester United and Newcastle United.

Fans have had mixed opinions, with several wanting to know how much a potential deal would cost before making judgements.

Well, we now know what that is.

This evening, highly reputable journalist David Ornstein of The Athletic has confirmed the price.

He reports that RB Leipzig are asking for 75 million Euros guaranteed + add ons and a percentage of future sale.

In the report, Ornstein mentions that this has been said to suitors – with Newcastle and Man United namechecked.

It will be interesting to see how Sesko gets on should he move to the Premier League.

Although he has potential, his 27 goals across two Bundesliga seasons feels low.

For context, Timo Werner scored more than that alone in 19/20, and his Premier League moves have gone badly.

Still, every player is different, so that doesn’t mean that Sesko can’t work out.

His record of 16 goals in 41 games for Slovenia is very good considering the level of players he plays with.

He is very rough around the edges, but it is clearly something that can be worked on.

Under Eddie Howe’s guidance, Alexander Isak has become one of the best strikers in the world.

We also saw Viktor Gyokeres develop well under Ruben Amorim at Sporting CP.

From that regard, either coach would be good for his development – in theory.

Exciting to see where he goes, or if he goes at all.
