It has already been a very busy summer for Arsenal so far.

They have already brought in Kepa, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, and Viktor Gyokeres.

Meanwhile there has been very little on the outgoings front.

The only two players who have fetched a fee are Marquinhos and Nuno Tavares – two players already out on loan.

Well, another loanee could be set to depart the club this summer.

According to David Ornstein, Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart are pursuing a deal to sign Fabio Vieira.

Last season, the midfielder spent the season on loan at FC Porto.

In his report, Ornstein says this potential deal with Stuttgart would be a permanent one.

With the aforementioned signings, and Arsenal still looking for more incomings, you’d imagine that sales are necessary.

The 25-year old Portuguese midfielder has not featured at all during pre-season for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Having just two years on his contract, it is probably a good time to get a fee for the player.

They will be highly unlikely to get recoup the money paid for Vieira in 2022.

However, they will certainly get more this summer than if they wait until next year when he has just one year remaining.

In his two seasons at the club, the midfielder started just five Premier League games.

Since his loan back to Porto, we have seen the emergence of Ethan Nwaneri, making his path even more complicated.

It would clearly be best for everyone for a deal to happen.

Perhaps a move to the Bundesliga would be good for his development.
