Manchester United could turn their transfer window around if they can sign Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian was a target for multiple clubs across Europe.
The 22-year-old is tipped to be the next star in European football, and his stats with RB Leipzig surely suggest that.
With Manchester United having already agreed personal terms with Sesko and placed a bid to RB Leipzig, it now looks like only a matter of time before this deal gets over the line.
After securing Sesko, Manchester United will be looking to bolster their midfield.
Transfer News Live has already reported earlier about a number of targets Manchester United have on their list.
The Red Devils have a good core of midfielders in their squad. But Ruben Amorim wants to make sure that he has multiple players for the same position.
The Portuguese boss doesn’t want to rely on a particular player. Last year, United suffered badly due to injuries.
If such a situation arises this summer, then Amorim wants to have backup ready. That is why he is pushing the Manchester United hierarchy to sign a midfielder after securing the striker.
Now, Manchester United have a midfielder in mind they would like to target. During the Erik ten Hag era at Old Trafford, United wanted to sign Frenkie de Jong.
However, that deal never went over the line. Well, the Red Devils are back for another midfielder, and this time, the player is not De Jong.
According to Fichajes, Manchester United are showing interest in signing Fermin Lopez from Barcelona.
Last year, the Spaniard had a wonderful season. The 22-year-old featured in 46 games across all competitions, scoring 8 times and providing 10 assists.
Manchester United are preparing a €70 million offer for the player, but Barcelona will ask for more.
It will be interesting to see what happens next in this Fermin Lopez to Manchester United transfer saga.
