After signing Benjamin Sesko, Ruben Amorim now wants to sign a defensive midfielder.
The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, along with Sesko, this summer.
Now, they are targeting Carlos Baleba from Brighton and Hove Albion. However, that deal is not easy to secure for the Red Devils.
The Seagulls are eyeing a fee of over £100 million to let the Cameroonian leave the club.
Now, Manchester United would struggle to pay that amount unless they sell some of their players.
Marcus Rashford has already left the club on loan to Barcelona with an option to buy. Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho, and Antony should be the next ones to go through the exit door at Old Trafford.
However, Manchester United must act fast if they want to secure the signing of Carlos Baleba. They must sign him this summer. Otherwise, the Cameroonian might leave for Spain next year.
According to TEAMtalk, Spanish giants Real Madrid are looking to hijack this Carlos Baleba to Manchester United deal.
However, the Los Blancos could try to pursue his signature next summer as they have other targets for this position, with Vitinha the main one.
That is why, according to journalist Rudy Galetti, the Red Devils are ready to hold fresh talks with the player as they don’t want to lose out on the player.
Brighton know that Baleba wants to leave the club, and that is why they are already looking for his replacements.
So, the next few days and weeks will be key for the Carlos Baleba to Manchester United transfer saga.
