It has already been a very busy transfer window at the Emirates.
We have seen the club make big moves, most notably for Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi.
Whilst Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, Kepa and Cristhian Mosquera have also arrived in North London.
Well, it looks like another player could be set to join the Gunners.
As per Football Transfers, Arsenal are on the verge of signing Eberechi Eze of Crystal Palace.
They report that financial terms have been agreed between the two clubs – with Arsenal set to pay £55m – £30m of that up front.
The structure of the rest of the £25m still needs sorting, but is not said to be a major sticking point, as per the report.
What is now holding up the deal is Palace finding a replacement before finally sanctioning the deal.
Especially with former sporting director Dougie Freedman having departed the club, and the struggle to replace him.
If a deal is to go through, then winning a second piece of silverware at Wembley on Sunday was a great way to go out for Eze.
Even if his penalty was absolutely terrible.
Although Palace fans will be gutted to see him go, you can be confident he would leave with everyone’s best wishes.
His winner in the FA Cup final back in May immediately put him into Palace folklore. He will always be a club legend.
As for Arsenal, Eze could provide the guile and finesse that they can seriously lack at times.
It will be interesting to see if he plays in midfield or on the left wing under Mikel Arteta.
Under Oliver Glasner, the left 10 role in their 343 set up has been the perfect hybrid of both for the player.
With the World Cup next summer, it is key that Eze plays regularly, and plays well. This could be a big opportunity for him.
