Arsenal are desperate to win a trophy. The last time they did win something was back in 2020 when the Gunners were crowned as the FA Cup champions.
Well, they did win the Community Shield in 2023. But their 2020 FA Cup triumph is the most significant achievement in recent history.
Also, Arsenal have consistently finished 2nd in the Premier League in recent years. This is something Mikel Arteta and the Arsenal board would like to change.
That is why, after Edu Gaspar resigned from his post as the Sporting Director of Arsenal, the Gunners brought in Andrea Berta. The Italian played a massive role in the recent success of Atletico Madrid.
Berta is doing the same with Arsenal this summer, as he has been pulling the strings and getting deals over the line very quickly.
Mikel Arteta signed almost all his targets. The Gunners have shown ambition this summer. They have signed many players who can prove to be crucial in helping them finally lift the Premier League.
But the transfer business is not done yet for Andrea Berta, as he still has some deals to complete before the deadline day.
Arsenal have already got Piero Hincapie’s deal over the line. So, the Gunners are now ready to complete the Jakub Kiwior to Porto deal.
Also, they will be looking to complete the permanent move of Sambi Lokonga to Hamburg. Fabio Vieira can also join the same team on loan with an option to buy.
Reiss Nelson, on the other hand, could join either Crystal Palace or Fulham. And, Oleksandr Zinchenko has a serious interest from Marseille.
So, the Gunners will be looking to get all six deals over the line before the transfer window shuts this evening.
