Manchester United have started their season in the worst possible scenario. After the horrible last season, no one expected such performances from the Red Devils.

However, they lost to Arsenal at home in their Premier League season opener. They followed it up with a draw at Craven Cottage against Fulham.

United finally managed to get their win of the season when they finished off the newly-promoted side Burnley, thanks to a last-minute penalty from Bruno Fernandes.

After the September international break, Manchester United once again got a reality check when their arch-rivals, Manchester City, defeated them 3-0 at the Etihad.

However, they did manage a promising win against the World Champions, Chelsea, at Old Trafford.

But Enzo Maresca and Robert Sanchez played a big part in helping Ruben Amorim get his second win of the season.

The last game against Brentford was like rubbing salt into the wound for the Manchester United hierarchy. That 3-1 loss to the Bees at GTECH Community Stadium will have repercussions.

That is why, according to indykaila News on X, the Red Devils bosses had a meeting with Ruben Amorim.

The United hierarchy is backing Amorim for now. But they want the Portuguese boss to change the formation to 4-3-3. Amorim was reportedly speechless at this demand from the United board.

As Transfer News Live reported earlier, the Manchester United board has set a timeline till which they will back Ruben Amorim.

Unless things change by then, the Portuguese boss will inevitably get the sack. The rumours on who could replace Amorim are now spreading like wildfire.
