Manchester United are about to make a big decision on Harry Maguire. The centre-back’s future at the club is once again under the spotlight.

Maguire’s current contract runs out in the summer of 2026. At 32, he is entering the final stretch of his deal at Old Trafford. But that has not stopped the rumours from heating up.

Recently, Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr have showed interest in signing the England international. At this stage in his career, a move like that would make sense.

Also, Maguire is no longer a guaranteed starter under Ruben Amorim. However, the situation has taken an unexpected turn.

According to talkSPORT, Harry Maguire has now made it clear that he wants to stay at Manchester United. The former Leicester City man is even ready to accept a new deal.

However, to remain at Old Trafford, Maguire must agree to a big wage cut. He currently earns £190,000 per week. A new contract would slash that figure significantly.

Even then, the club is only considering the extension with shocking terms. However, the Red Devils are yet to take a final call on this.

So far, Maguire has played seven times this season. He has started just twice in the league. Most recently, he came off the bench in the 2-0 win over Sunderland.

Since arriving in 2019, Maguire has made 253 appearances for United. He’s scored 16 goals and assisted nine. But despite the limited minutes, he has never asked to leave.

With this contract running out in 2026, Harry Maguire could take the payday in Saudi Arabia. But, he is still choosing to stay at Old Trafford.

Now, everything depends on Manchester United and Ruben Amorim.
