Arsenal are having a great run this season. Except for the blip they experienced against Sunderland this weekend, the Gunners were on a 13-match winning streak.

However, due to late heroics from Brian Brobbey, the Gunners had to drop points against the Black Cats. Still, they are at the top of the Premier League table.

In the Champions League, Arsenal have yet to drop points. Moreover, they will play the North London derby when club football resumes after the international break.

In the meantime, an Arsenal star suffered a devastating loss in the family. The player is currently recovering from an injury.

Arsenal midfielder Kai Havertz is enduring a deeply emotional period off the pitch after his wife, Sophia, confirmed the heartbreaking death of her beloved horse.

The couple, already facing Havertz’s long injury absence, are now mourning a loss that has left them devastated.

The 26-year-old German international has been sidelined since the opening day of the Premier League season following knee surgery.

Sophia, who married Havertz last year, took to social media to announce the loss of her brown-and-white horse, Cielo.

Havertz and Sophia first met during his spell at Bayer Leverkusen, long before his high-profile move to the Premier League.

After joining Chelsea in a £71 million transfer in 2020, he famously scored the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final against Manchester City.

Moreover, in 2023, Havertz signed for Arsenal in a £65 million deal and has since scored 29 goals in 88 appearances.

Despite his current absence, manager Mikel Arteta recently expressed optimism that the midfielder could return to action after the international break.
