A Manchester United star has admitted that he will play in Saudi Arabia. Many Saudi Pro League clubs are tracking many United stars.
However, one United star recently did an interview while playing for the national side, where he revealed that he is open to playing in Saudi Arabia.
This will encourage many Saudi clubs. Also, this shows the growth of the Saudi League since Cristiano Ronaldo moved there from Manchester United.
The Red Devils are having a mixed season. Sometimes they feel they are on track to secure a Champions League spot. And, sometimes, they feel let down by their defence.
In their last game against Bournemouth, they conceded four goals. They had to settle for a draw in that game. But this result will disappoint everyone associated with the club.
Now, this interview will further damage the morale of the team because one of the leaders of the club has expressed his desire to leave.
Ben Jacobs revealed on X that Bruno Fernandes did an interview with Canal 11. During that interview, Fernandes revealed that United wanted to sell him last summer.
“Manchester United wanted me to leave, I have that in my head.”
Also, Fernandes had a conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo regarding a possible move to the Saudi Pro League. He said:
“Cristiano advised me, but the final decision always rested with me.”
The Manchester United captain also expressed his love for the club, and that is why he didn’t leave. Fernandes said:
“I decided to stay because I genuinely love the club, but loyalty isn’t as well regarded as it once was…”
Bruno Fernandes also expressed that he is open to playing in Saudi Arabia. He said:
“If one day I have to play in Saudi Arabia, I’ll play in Saudi Arabia.”
The Portuguese international scored a world-class free-kick in United’s last game against Bournemouth, taking his tally for the season to five goals in the Premier League.
🚨🗣️ Bruno Fernandes tells Canal 11 he turned down Al-Hilal for family reasons and that #MUFC wanted to sell him. Interview done in November and set up via the Portugal national team. Fernandes also had options with Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad.
