Manchester United’s January transfer plans are beginning to take shape, and one first-team attacker could be edging closer to the exit door.
The Red Devils have signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko in the summer. Thus, the chances have become limited for other forwards.
Now, one of those forwards is nearing an exit. One European club has already submitted an offer for the forward.
According to reports from Il Messaggero, Roma have submitted a formal offer to Manchester United for striker Joshua Zirkzee.
The proposal is structured as a €5 million loan, with a €30 million option to buy at the end of the season.
On top of that, the deal reportedly includes a further €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
That additional payment would be triggered if Roma qualify for next season’s Champions League. It will take the total package close to €40 million.
Manchester United are yet to respond formally, and it remains unclear whether the club would accept the current structure or push for an obligation to buy rather than an option.

Roma head coach Gian Piero Gasperini is keen on building a fresh frontline. So, Napoli forward Giacomo Raspadori has also become an alternative target.
With players like Amad Diallo and Bryan Mbeumo representing their countries at the Africa Cup of Nations, United may not agree to this deal.

If they do, then the Red Devils will be eyeing a replacement for the Dutch international.
