Arsenal and Manchester United on alert after Borussia Dortmund’s decision on Karim Adeyemi

Karim Adeyemi

Both Arsenal and Manchester United have been tracking Karim Adeyemi for some time.

Earlier reports suggested the German international favoured a move to north London, but United have also remained firmly in the picture.

United were keen on Antoine Semenyo earlier this window. But Manchester City swooped in and signed the player.

Now, with Semenyo heading to the Etihad Stadium, United are looking at Adeyemi as an alternative. Still, committing €60–70 million in January would be a major challenge.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are reportedly leading the race. However, their current wide options are performing well.

This raises doubts over whether they would push ahead immediately. The Gunners admire Adeyemi, but any move may depend on departures or a shift in priorities.

According to CaughtOffside, Karim Adeyemi may be made available for sale in January, with Dortmund preferring to act now rather than allow the situation to drift into the summer.

The German club could be prepared to cash in on one of their most valuable attacking assets this month.

With uncertainty growing around Adeyemi’s future, the Bundesliga side are now willing to listen to offers.

Internal tensions and a lack of progress in contract talks have pushed the club towards a possible early exit.

Dortmund have previously placed a valuation of around €60–70 million on the winger, and that figure is unlikely to change.

The feeling inside the club is that a sale now would protect his market value, especially with interest building from the Premier League giants like United and Arsenal.

Also, there were reports that Liverpool may come for the 23-year-old. However, the Reds have not registered concrete interest yet.

For now, Dortmund’s stance has changed. Adeyemi is no longer untouchable, and Arsenal and Manchester United are watching closely.
