Manchester United star desperate to leave after Ruben Amorim’s sacking

Those around him believe his thinking may already be evolving.

Transfer Update - Man Utd

Uncertainty continues to swirl around Manchester United. And this time the spotlight has fallen on one of the most important players in the team.

Behind the scenes, there is a growing belief that patience is wearing thin, even among those who have carried the team through its most turbulent years.

After the draw against Leeds United, Ruben Amorim made some explosive statements. He questioned the competence of United’s board.

This made Amorim’s position as the head coach untenable. That is why the follow day, United decided to sack their manager.

Now, this decision has sent shockwaves throughout the squad. Several players are not happy with the INEOS regime and the uncertainty around the club.

Also, getting knocked out of the FA Cup after sacking Amorim didn’t help the club.

That is why many of them might consider leaving the club next summer. However, the last thing United want is their captain to leave among such turbulent times.

According to The Sun, inside the dressing room, several Manchester United players reportedly fear that Bruno Fernandes has reached the end of his tether.

Fernandes previously admitted that former head coach Ruben Amorim played a key role in convincing him to stay last summer, despite serious interest from Al-Hilal.

At the time, a huge offer was on the table. However, what lingered was Fernandes’ admission that he felt hurt by the club’s apparent willingness to sanction his departure.

Since then, the captain has insisted he would delay any decision on his future until after the World Cup in North America. However, those around him believe his thinking may already be evolving.

There is an understanding within the squad that Fernandes feels increasingly disconnected from the club’s direction under the new ownership structure.

Since arriving from Sporting CP in 2020, Fernandes has been a constant performer in difficult circumstances. His contract runs until 2027.

But, if Fernandes does decide to walk away in the summer, many inside United would understand why.
