Strasbourg lost their manager when Liam Rosenior joined Chelsea. The Blues decided to part ways with Enzo Maresca even after delivering the Club World Cup and Conference League titles.
After sacking Maresca, they turned to Strasbourg, the sister club of Chelsea. Because of this, supporters of Strasbourg are not happy.
The French club have accused BlueCo. of using their club as a feeding club for Chelsea. They have stamped their claim after the way Chelsea hired Rosenior.
Now, Strasbourg are looking at their future, and they have hired a former Manchester United player. However, the former Premier League star has not joined Strasbourg as their manager of the first team.
Instead, he will be taking up the role of a loan manager. His responsibility will be to keep an eye on the progress of the players, who are currently on loan to other clubs.
Strasbourg confirmed the appointment of Morgan Schneiderlin as their new loan manager in an official statement. Schneiderlin said in the statement:
“Returning to Racing is a tremendous joy and a great source of pride. It’s the club that trained me, and it holds a special place in my heart.
“My goal is to be there for the players, to support them, to help them in their development and to maintain a strong connection with Racing.”
The president of Strasbourg, Marc Keller, also welcomed Schneiderlin back to the club, saying:
“Morgan’s arrival illustrates our desire to continue structuring our club. His experience, his attachment to Strasbourg, and his knowledge of football will be a valuable asset to our loaned players.”
