Arsenal and Chelsea are both keeping a close eye on the market ahead of the summer transfer window.

Both clubs know that this could be a decisive period as they look to strengthen their attacking options.

And, with several situations still unresolved, they are carefully monitoring opportunities that may open up. For Arsenal, creativity in the final third has been a talking point this season.

Martin Odegaard has struggled for consistency at times, while Eberechi Eze has also had mixed spells. Because of that, the Gunners are already planning ahead.

Chelsea, meanwhile, continue to focus on long-term investments.

Their recruitment strategy has been built around young players with high ceilings, and that approach is not expected to change anytime soon. Now, attention has turned towards Real Madrid.

According to The Daily Briefing, both Arsenal and Chelsea are positioning themselves to move if Real Madrid decide to part ways with Arda Guler.

The Turkish midfielder has been on Arsenal’s radar since October 2024, while Chelsea have stepped up their interest in recent weeks.

The belief among both London clubs is that a deal could be possible in the summer, but only if Madrid are willing to negotiate.

Any move would require a major financial commitment, with figures between €90 million and €100 million being discussed internally.

Everything, however, depends on Madrid’s long-term plans and how they view Guler’s role going forward.

For now, Arsenal and Chelsea remain on standby. And if the door opens, both clubs are ready to move for Arda Guler.

Also, they need to take into consideration the player’s side of the story. At 20, Guler will be looking for more game time.

However, the kind of players Madrid, it will be difficult for him to get regular game time. Thus a move to either Chelsea or Arsenal could be smart decision.
