Liverpool are looking for a winger. They are looking to replace Mohamed Salah. That is why they wanted Antoine Semenyo.

But the Ghana international decided to join Manchester City. So, they have switched their attention to a Barcelona winger. But they are not the only club looking to sign the winger.

Manchester United are also looking for a winger. The Red Devils will part ways with Marcus Rashford in the summer after his impressive spell at Camp Nou.

So, they need a player to replace him. After selling the majority of their wingers last summer under Ruben Amorim, United are once again in need of wingers, after replacing the Portuguese boss.

That is why Manchester United are now set to rival Liverpool in the race to sign Barcelona winger Raphinha ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Brazilian international left Leeds United in July 2022 to join Barcelona in a deal worth around £55 million.

This season, he has registered nine goals and three assists in 18 appearances across all competitions.

Raphinha has scored in back-to-back matches against Real Oviedo and FC Copenhagen, and that has reignited interest from the Premier League.

Now, according to El Nacional, both Manchester United and Liverpool are willing to test Barcelona’s resolve.

The two English giants are reportedly ready to offer around €95 million, which is close to £82 million, to reach an agreement in the summer.

Meanwhile, Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal have also shown strong interest. But the same reports state that Raphinha has categorically rejected a move to the Middle East.

He has made it clear that his priority is to remain in Europe. If a deal is agreed, Raphinha will have a significant salary increase, and he could earn around €22 million net per year.
