Tottenham Hotspur hoped for stability last summer. Instead, they find themselves staring at another reset. However, recent results made Thomas Frank’s position untenable.

However, the pressure had been building for weeks on the Danish manager. On Sunday, things got out of hand as the Spurs fell to a 2-1 defeat against Newcastle.

And, less than 24 hours later, the club decided to sack Thomas Frank. Meanwhile, fear has started to creep in around North London.

Tottenham sit just five points above the relegation zone. They have not recorded a top-flight win since December 28.

That run has dragged them into a battle few predicted at the start of the campaign. As a result, the board dismissed their manager only seven months after appointing him from Brentford.

Almost immediately, an old rival seized the moment. Lifelong Arsenal supporter Piers Morgan wasted no time in reacting online.

He wrote on X: “BREAKING: Thomas Frank has been released from Spurs captivity after seven months of miserable incarceration. Congrats, Thomas!”

The post quickly gained traction. Piers Morgan has long enjoyed taunting Tottenham whenever the opportunity arises. This time was no different.

Meanwhile, the Spurs now face a race against time. They must appoint a successor before the North London derby against Arsenal on February 22.

Mauricio Pochettino and Roberto De Zerbi have already been linked with the vacancy. Also, Transfer News Live reported about the staggering severance package Thomas Frank might receive.

So, Tottenham now move forward once again in search of a new manager who could take them out of the current slump.

Yet, their rivals, Arsenal, are dreaming of finally winning the Premier League title after two decades.
