Arsenal know the importance of utilising the transfer market, especially in the summer. Last summer, they signed eight top players.
As a result, they are currently having a successful season with the team fighting for all four major trophies.
So, Mikel Arteta wants Andrea Berta to have another successful transfer window next summer. But next summer, the Gunners will be looking to sell some of their players as well.
Arteta wants to build the squad in Europe. And some of his current players may not find a place there.
That is why Arsenal are ready to let Riccardo Calafiori leave next summer, as Transfer News Live already revealed.
Now, Arteta knows that the Gunners need to sign replacements before selling players. Otherwise, they could get into trouble as the season goes on.
That is why Arsenal have already identified a replacement for Riccardo Calafiori. But they are not the only club monitoring the players.
Manchester United and Liverpool have already registered their interest in the same player. So, it could be a three-way battle for one of the most exciting defenders in the Premier League.
Premier League giants know that signing players from the English top-flight makes things easier for them and those players to adjust to the fast pace of the league.
That is why Antoine Semenyo, Marc Guehi, and Bryan Mbeumo took little time to adjust to their new clubs. However, Florian Wirtz and Viktor Gyokeres are still adjusting to the English league.
This is one of the reasons Arteta wants Premier League-proven players next summer. According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal will battle Manchester United and Liverpool for Murillo.
The Nottingham Forest defender has been performing well in an underperforming team. Forest will be asking for at least £60 million, as his contract is valid until 2029.
But if Forest gets relegated, that fee could go down significantly. So, Arsenal will be keeping a close eye on Murillo, as Nottingham Forest battle for survival this season.
